<image:caption>Reese was trained in hula, jazz, hip-hop, and ballet growing up, and has been honing their craft in contemporary and pole dance over the last eleven years. Pole has become one of their favorite mediums through which to tell stories and express strength, sensuality, and vulnerability. Reese competed and placed at Pole Sport Organization’s US National Pole Championships in 2017 and 2019 for the dramatic and free dance categories, respectively, and has performed for Flux Vertical Theatre and The Ruckus and Rumpus Revival in the Bay Area. They currently teach introductory and freestyle classes at Sadie’s Pole Studio, as well as Gender Euphoria, a multi-level pole class where dancers can explore gender expression in their movement. <image:title>Instant Theatre - Instant Theatre</image:title>
<image:caption>Instant Theatre is a music and theatre show produced by Reese and playwright Nina Ki, featuring Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) creatives. With the rise of anti-Asian hate during the COVID-19 pandemic, Nina and Reese created Instant Theatre as a space for AAPI creatives to find some levity and empowerment. Audience members suggest a prompt. While Reese improvises a song based on that prompt, Nina (or sometimes a guest playwright) writes a one-minute play for our guest actors to bring to life. Each show highlights a different AAPI organization for audience members to support. Stay tuned for updates!</image:caption>
